About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at G2i, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and efficient. You will be working closely with the development team to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and monitor systems. Your expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes will be essential in driving the company's cloud strategy forward.

What You Will Do

  • Own and evolve the company's AWS infrastructure, including ECS, Fargate, RDS, and S3
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform
  • Set up and manage monitoring systems, including CloudWatch, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry
  • Implement secure-by-default practices and support SOC 2 and HIPAA readiness
  • Write Python and Bash scripts for automation, backups, and deployment hooks
  • Assist with Postgres tuning, access control, and migrations
  • Lay the groundwork for container orchestration using EKS and Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth deployments and troubleshoot issues
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for critical systems

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or SRE roles
  • Strong experience with AWS, especially ECS and Terraform
  • Experience implementing or improving monitoring systems and incident workflows
  • Comfort with scripting languages like Python and Bash
  • Familiarity with Postgres in production environments
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance principles
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools
  • Exposure to Kubernetes or EKS, or a desire to learn and grow
  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, including GPU workloads and model deployment
  • Experience supporting compliance frameworks, including HIPAA and SOC 2
