About the Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including AWS, k8s, Python, and Docker. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's infrastructure, including the development of automated scripts and tools to streamline processes. Your expertise in monitoring tools, such as Grafana, will be essential in identifying areas for improvement and optimizing system performance.

The DevOps team at Nord Security is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and you will need to be able to work effectively in a remote setting, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and time zones. You will be expected to be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.

What You Will Do

• Improve code quality, speed, and deployment processes, ensuring that the company's infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Ensure zero downtime for different environments and projects, implementing solutions that minimize disruption and ensure seamless operations.
• Work on k8s cluster migration, designing and implementing a migration plan that minimizes risk and ensures minimal disruption to services.
• Improve existing and implement new, effective CI/CD processes, streamlining the development and deployment of software applications.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that increase efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain the company's infrastructure, including the development of automated scripts and tools to streamline processes.
• Monitor system performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing system performance.
• Troubleshoot issues, working with the development team to resolve problems and minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that all processes and procedures are well-documented and easily accessible.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support for critical systems and services.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience working with AWS, k8s, and Python, with a strong background in scripting, containerization, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with monitoring tools, such as Grafana, and the ability to optimize system performance.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and time zones.
• Strong background in DevOps practices, with experience in continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring.
• Experience with containerization, using tools such as Docker, and the ability to design and implement containerized applications.
• Strong understanding of security principles and practices, with experience in implementing secure solutions that meet the company's security standards.
• Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka and Golang, with the ability to design and implement solutions using these technologies.
• Experience with other cloud-based technologies, such as Azure or Google Cloud, and the ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, with experience in implementing and maintaining network infrastructure.
• Experience with other monitoring tools, such as Prometheus or New Relic, and the ability to optimize system performance using these tools.
