## About the Role The DevOps Engineer - Zoom Phone role is a critical position at Zoom, focusing on creating and sustaining resilient systems to support the company's UCaaS and CCaaS services. As a key member of the DevOps team, you will collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers, and product teams to ensure seamless functionality and continuous availability. The role involves working in a dynamic and impactful setting, with a focus on automation, continuous integration and deployment, observability, and cloud-native operations.

The DevOps team at Zoom is responsible for building and deploying UCaaS and CCaaS services, managing cloud infrastructure, and developing automation to minimize manual tasks. As a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and managing services across multi-cloud platforms, overseeing multiple offerings such as Zoom Phone, Zoom Contact Center, and Telephony Gateway service.

The role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, effective communication, and prompt troubleshooting and resolution of issues within VoIP infrastructure systems.

## What You Will Do - Deploy and manage services across multi-cloud platforms, including AWS, OCI, and others - Oversee multiple offerings such as Zoom Phone, Zoom Contact Center, and Telephony Gateway service - Automate deployment and configuration of VoIP systems using CI/CD pipelines - Monitor and optimize the performance and reliability of VoIP systems, including implementing automated evaluations to assess audio quality and operational performance - Manage containerized Voice over IP applications using Docker and Kubernetes platforms - Ensure high availability, disaster recovery processes, and overall resilience for voice-related services - Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, effective communication, and prompt troubleshooting and resolution of issues within VoIP infrastructure systems - Manage and support Session Border Controller infrastructure and associated systems to ensure seamless operation and reliability - Develop and implement automation to minimize manual tasks and improve efficiency - Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for critical systems

## What We Are Looking For - 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or a related field - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native operations - Experience with automation, continuous integration, and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Git - Strong understanding of VoIP protocols and technologies, including SBC, SIP, and RTP - Experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS, OCI, or other cloud providers - Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or C++ - Experience with monitoring and logging tools like ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team

## Nice to Have - Experience with Zoom's UCaaS and CCaaS services - Knowledge of network protocols and architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP - Experience with containerization using Docker or other containerization platforms - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git
