About the Role

The Dietitian position at True Rx Health Strategists is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact on patient care through comprehensive nutrition counseling and education. The day-to-day responsibilities of this position involve conducting telehealth sessions with patients to provide detailed nutritional and lifestyle advice, with the goal of achieving sustainable weight loss and reducing healthcare costs. The dietitian will work closely with patients to identify and overcome barriers to effective care, leveraging motivational interviewing techniques and patient education strategies. Collaboration with other healthcare providers and departments is essential to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct individual telehealth sessions with patients to provide extensive nutritional and lifestyle education.
  • Work closely with patients to achieve sustainable weight loss and improve their overall health.
  • Educate patients on appropriate community resources that can support their health goals.
  • Evaluate nutritional and lifestyle outcomes and develop impactful reports to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients.
  • Formulate clinical recommendations and visit summaries.
  • Proactively identify and address barriers to effective patient care.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop and capitalize on technology and health information.
  • Leverage presentation skills to deliver reports to clients on the clinical aspects of their benefit plan.
  • Educate clients on clinical programs and solutions to increase the rate of implementation and adoption of such programs.
  • Plan, organize, and direct responsibilities delegated by the Clinical Innovation Pharmacist.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Registered Dietician Certification (CDR).
  • State Certification or Licensure.
  • Strong experience counseling individuals in an outpatient setting with complex disease states.
  • Familiarity with current treatment standards and options for common metabolic conditions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to create and update Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with colleagues, clients, and patients.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory oversight.
  • Significant experience with motivational interviewing and patient education/engagement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Knowledge of health informatics and technology solutions in healthcare.
  • Certification in a specialized area of dietetics.
