About the Role
The Digital Marketing Manager will play a critical role in shaping Nabu Casa's online presence and driving user engagement. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for planning and executing digital campaigns, growing the company's organic search presence, and managing email marketing efforts. You will work closely with the Product Marketing Manager to align marketing strategies with product launches and commercial priorities.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital marketing principles and a proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment. You will be a self-starter with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Nabu Casa is a fully remote organization, and as such, you will be working with a distributed team. You will report to the VP of Commercial, who is based in Norway. The company values autonomy and flexibility, and you will be expected to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve results.
What You Will Do
- Own the performance of Nabu Casa's digital channels, including website, email, SEO, paid, and social media
- Plan and execute digital campaigns from brief to post-campaign analysis
- Build and improve the company's organic search presence through content strategy and on-site SEO
- Run email marketing campaigns for Nabu Casa Cloud subscribers, including lifecycle flows, release announcements, and re-engagement efforts
- Manage paid digital spend and ROI across channels, allocating and optimizing the budget with rigor
- Report on digital performance weekly, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
- Grow and engage Nabu Casa's presence in online communities, including Home Assistant forums, Reddit, and YouTube
- Test new growth levers, such as affiliate, referral, and influencer marketing, with structured experiments and documented learnings
- Collaborate with the Product Marketing Manager to align marketing strategies with product launches and commercial priorities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to continually improve campaign performance
What We Are Looking For
- Hands-on experience running digital channels, including SEO, email, paid social/search, and content marketing
- Fluency in analytics, including the ability to build dashboards, interpret funnel data, and distinguish signal from noise
- Strong copywriting skills for digital contexts, including the ability to write for a technically literate audience
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tooling, such as HubSpot, Adjust, or equivalent
- Experience with marketing a technical, developer-adjacent, or open-source product
- High autonomy, with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including campaign measurement and optimization
- Experience working in a small, remote-first team, with a strong ability to collaborate and communicate with distributed team members
- Familiarity with the Home Assistant ecosystem or smart home space
Nice to Have
- Experience with affiliate, referral, or influencer marketing
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experiment design
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with video production or editing
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Asana or Trello
