About the Role
The Digital Marketing Manager position at Nabu Casa is a hands-on, execution-focused role that requires a deep understanding of digital marketing principles and the ability to own the performance of Nabu Casa's digital channels. This includes managing the website, email, SEO, paid, and social media channels to achieve clear targets for reach, conversion, and subscriber growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing digital campaigns end-to-end, from brief through creative to post-campaign analysis, aligned with product launches and commercial priorities.As part of the Nabu Casa team, the Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with the Product Marketing Manager but will be expected to drive the agenda independently. The role requires a strong understanding of the audience, which is technically sophisticated and community-rooted, and the ability to create marketing campaigns that respect their intelligence.

What You Will Do
- Own the performance of Nabu Casa's digital channels, including website, email, SEO, paid, and social media, with clear targets for reach, conversion, and subscriber growth.
- Plan and execute digital campaigns end-to-end, from brief through creative to post-campaign analysis, aligned with product launches and commercial priorities.
- Build and improve our organic search presence through content strategy and on-site SEO, reducing reliance on paid traffic over time.
- Run email marketing for Nabu Casa Cloud subscribers, including lifecycle flows, release announcements, and re-engagement, and track the metrics that matter.
- Own paid digital spend and ROI across channels, allocate and optimize the budget with rigor.
- Report on digital performance weekly and bring a clear point of view on what to prioritize next.
- Grow and engage Nabu Casa's presence in the communities where our users live, including Home Assistant forums, Reddit, YouTube, and adjacent open-source and smart home spaces.
- Test new growth levers, such as affiliate, referral, and influencer marketing, with structured experiments and documented learnings.
What We Are Looking For
- Hands-on experience running digital channels, including SEO, email, paid social/search, and content, with owned performance metrics.
- Fluency in analytics, able to build dashboards, interpret funnel data, and distinguish signal from noise without relying on a data team.
- Strong copywriting for digital contexts, with the ability to write for a technically literate audience without talking down to them.
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tooling, such as HubSpot, Adjust, or equivalent.
- High autonomy, with the ability to know what to look at next without being told.
- Experience marketing a technical, developer-adjacent, or open-source product.
- Familiarity with the Home Assistant ecosystem or smart home space.
- Experience working in a small, remote-first team where you own a function end-to-end.
Nice to Have
- Experience with affiliate, referral, or influencer marketing.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Experience with email marketing automation tools, such as Mailchimp or Marketo.
