About the Role
The Digital Sales Representative role at Twilio is a critical component of the company's expansion strategy, focusing on managing and growing existing customer relationships while driving net-new revenue through value-based selling. As a key member of the sales team, you will work closely with customers across various verticals to understand their business and technical requirements, designing tailored solutions that leverage Twilio's cutting-edge communications API platform.In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction, working diligently with cross-functional internal teams to address customer needs, and advising on digital communication strategies. Your expertise in solution-oriented sales, combined with your passion for innovative technologies, will enable you to make complex technical and financial details sound simple, ultimately driving revenue growth and expanding Twilio's presence in strategic markets.
What You Will Do
- Manage existing customer relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and upselling/cross-selling Twilio's solutions
- Collaborate with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, designing and proposing customized solutions
- Work closely with internal teams, including Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support, to address customer needs and drive revenue growth
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Twilio's communications API platform, staying up-to-date on new features and product releases
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects/deals simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Think creatively, developing new processes and contributing to the team's playbook
- Participate in sales strategy discussions, sharing insights and best practices to drive team performance
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive sales growth and innovation
What We Are Looking For
- At least 2 years of full sales cycle experience in a tech space, with a proven track record of top performance
- Strong understanding of the cloud computing/communications business model and experience selling to technical audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical and financial details
- Technical solutions selling experience, with a passion for working with customers and solving problems
- High adaptability, with comfort trying new things and building new processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
- Experience with sales tools and technologies, such as CRM systems and sales analytics platforms
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Technology, or Engineering
Nice to Have
- Experience as a Strategic Account Executive, with a focus on cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in sales and marketing
- Familiarity with Twilio's communications API platform and its ecosystem
- Certification in sales or a related field, such as SalesForce or HubSpot
