About the Role
The Direct Site Commodity Leader role is a critical position in the Configured Mechanical Systems commodity group, responsible for driving strategic sourcing decisions and managing supplier relationships. This role entails working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure reliable production and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing commodity strategies, managing supplier panels, and driving cost savings. The role reports to the commodity leader and is part of a global team.As a Direct Site Commodity Leader, you will be responsible for assessing supplier capabilities and capacity, executing commodity strategies, and managing supplier relationships. You will work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to define supply chain strategies and ensure compliance with quality and EHS standards. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute commodity strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships
- Manage supplier panels and assess supplier capabilities and capacity
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality
- Drive competitive bidding and sourcing decisions
- Support the implementation of long-term supplier agreements
- Manage supplier relationships and development activities
- Support supplier qualification with quality and engineering teams
- Strengthen supply base capabilities to improve quality, service, fulfillment, cycle time, and cost
- Identify localization and Near Shore Development opportunities
- Support quarterly business reviews with commodity leaders
- Partner with materials management to improve supplier delivery performance
- Drive proactive supply chain actions to ensure flexibility and capacity
- Monitor supplier KPIs, including OTD, vendor billbacks, invoice holds, and NCRs
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or other related field
- 3-5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing
- 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Negotiation
- 3-5 years of experience in ERP systems and business intelligence tools
- Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Access
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Business acumen
- Strong English communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organization
- Self-starter with strong teamwork and leadership potential
