Director, AI Deployment Management

About the Role

As the head of the global AI Deployment Management organization, the Director will define and continuously refine the vision, operating model, and long-term strategy for the organization. This will involve aligning deployment strategies with Openai's broader business objectives and evolving customer needs. The Director will also build scalable frameworks that support long-term organizational growth and operational maturity.

The role reports directly to the Head of Technical Readiness and serves as a critical second-line leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, customer outcomes, and organizational scale across Openai's Customer Success and Technical Success functions. The Director will lead and mentor second-line managers and multidisciplinary ADM teams across Builder, Core, and Pilot deployments, fostering a high-performance culture centered on operational rigor, customer impact, scalability, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

• Develop and scale the AI Deployment Management strategy, defining the vision, operating model, and long-term strategy for the global organization
• Align deployment strategies with Openai's broader business objectives and evolving customer needs
• Build scalable frameworks that support long-term organizational growth and operational maturity
• Lead and mentor second-line managers and multidisciplinary ADM teams across Builder, Core, and Pilot deployments
• Foster a high-performance culture centered on operational rigor, customer impact, scalability, and continuous improvement
• Develop strong leadership bench strength and management capabilities across the organization
• Ensure customers successfully deploy and operationalize Openai solutions across a wide range of use cases and industries
• Build repeatable deployment frameworks and scalable engagement models that improve customer outcomes and accelerate adoption
• Oversee complex enterprise deployment programs and customer operationalization efforts at scale
• Design and implement scalable processes, tooling, metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance models

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in a related field, with a focus on AI deployment management, customer success, or technical success
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence, customer outcomes, and organizational scale
• Expertise in GTM and Excel, with experience in data analysis and process optimization
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and mentoring high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience in building scalable frameworks that support long-term organizational growth and operational maturity
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and their applications in real-world workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience in AI development or deployment, with a focus on machine learning or deep learning
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies
• Certification in AI or data science, with a focus on machine learning or deep learning
