About the Role
The Director of Compliance Intelligence & Programs / Privacy Officer plays a strategic leadership role in shaping the compliance and ethics program at US Acute Care Solutions. This critical position partners closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to drive innovation, scalability, and maturity in the company's compliance and privacy initiatives. As a key member of the compliance team, you will oversee operational oversight of core compliance program functions, leveraging data analytics, technology enablement, and process optimization to promote regulatory compliance and operational excellence.The role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, compliance regulations, and emerging risks, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive strategic decision-making. As the USACS Privacy Officer, you will also be responsible for overseeing the HIPAA Privacy Program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient data.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance on compliance, privacy, and governance matters to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address emerging risks and compliance gaps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of compliance, integrity, and accountability
- Oversee the development and implementation of compliance training programs, communications, and educational materials
- Lead compliance investigations, hotline operations, and issue tracking to ensure timely resolution and effective corrective action
- Partner with Information Security, Information Technology, and Legal teams to ensure alignment and effective use of digital tools and systems
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance, privacy, and governance matters, providing guidance and support to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain meaningful compliance reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis to inform strategic decision-making
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback, and driving process optimization and innovation
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably in healthcare
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programs and initiatives
- In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant laws and standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic insights
- Experience with data analytics, process optimization, and technology enablement, preferably in a compliance or risk management context
- Certification in compliance, such as CCEP or CCO, is preferred
- Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, including emerging trends, risks, and regulatory requirements
Nice to Have
- Experience with Excel, data visualization tools, and other software applications relevant to compliance and risk management
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as AI, blockchain, and cloud computing, and their potential applications in compliance and risk management
- Knowledge of international compliance regulations and standards, such as GDPR and CCPA
- Experience with compliance training programs, communications, and educational materials development
