About the Role

The Director of Field Marketing & ABM at Intercom is a pivotal role that requires a seasoned marketing professional to own the company's global field strategy. This includes leading region-specific plans, managing ABM events, and delivering high-impact experiences that drive revenue. The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of Marketing and Sales, working closely with Sales leadership, Revenue Operations, Product Marketing, and Regional Marketing teams to design and execute GTM programs that scale globally while remaining locally relevant.

The role is based in San Francisco, California, and offers the opportunity to work with a company that is revolutionizing customer service through AI. As a key member of the marketing team, the Director of Field Marketing & ABM will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing global field marketing and ABM team. This will involve setting clear goals, operating rhythms, and execution standards, as well as developing talent and creating a culture of ownership and impact.

What You Will Do

  • Define and lead Intercom's global field marketing strategy across North America, EMEA, and APAC
  • Build region-specific plans aligned to GTM priorities, territory strategy, and pipeline goals
  • Translate company objectives into field programs that directly impact revenue
  • Own Intercom's global ABM Events motion (1:1, 1:few, and 1:many programs)
  • Partner with Sales and RevOps on target account selection and segmentation
  • Design personalized campaigns that drive enterprise pipeline, deal velocity, and expansion
  • Lead strategy and execution for field events, executive programs, customer marketing activations, and flagship moments
  • Create experiences that generate new pipeline, accelerate active deals, and strengthen long-term customer relationships
  • Work closely with regional Sales leadership to support territory priorities and pipeline gaps
  • Build repeatable GTM plays that sellers actively use in live deals
  • Align programs with Product Marketing messaging and launch cycles
  • Own performance measurement, attribution, and ROI across all field programs
  • Partner with RevOps to improve reporting and pipeline visibility
  • Use data to continuously optimize program mix and investment strategy

What We Are Looking For

  • 8-12+ years of experience in B2B SaaS field marketing, revenue marketing, or demand generation
  • Proven success in building and executing global field marketing strategies that drive revenue
  • Experience in managing ABM events and personalized campaigns
  • Strong understanding of GTM priorities, territory strategy, and pipeline goals
  • Ability to partner effectively with Sales, RevOps, and Product Marketing teams
  • Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of data analysis and performance measurement tools
