About the Role
The Director, Founder's Office, is a pivotal role that operates as an extension of the Founder, driving key initiatives across various aspects of the business, including local market entry, hiring, partnerships, and fundraising. This position is integral to the company's growth and success, requiring a unique blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and the ability to work independently in a highly ambiguous environment.The role involves working closely with the Founder to develop and execute strategies for local market expansion, building and executing hiring plans to attract high-caliber talent, and supporting fundraising efforts by preparing materials and coordinating investor conversations. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for establishing the company's presence in the local market, including setting up offices, vendors, and operational structures.
Given the broad scope of responsibilities, the ideal candidate must be able to prioritize tasks effectively, make decisions with incomplete information, and maintain a high level of reliability in delivering results.
What You Will Do
- Work directly with the Founder to drive local market entry, from strategy development to hands-on execution
- Build and execute initial hiring plans, including sourcing, engaging, and closing high-caliber talent
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing materials, coordinating investor conversations, and following through on commitments
- Help establish the company's presence in the local market, including office setup, vendor management, and operational structure development
- Drive external positioning through support of PR, partnerships, and key relationships
- Turn ambiguous ideas into clear plans and ensure their execution
- Act as a central operator across teams, tracking priorities, resolving bottlenecks, and pushing progress
- Handle high-urgency, unstructured problems with speed and sound judgment
- Collaborate with various teams to drive business growth and solve complex problems
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders
