About the Role

The Director, Global Commercial Content Ecosystem at Viatris is a pivotal role that combines strategic vision with operational excellence to drive the company's commercial content operations forward. This position entails leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive content ecosystem strategy that aligns with Viatris's broader digital, marketing, and business objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of content operations, digital platforms, and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment and buy-in.

As a key member of the Viatris team, the Director will be responsible for balancing strategic transformation with operational priorities, defining and tracking enterprise KPIs, and identifying innovation opportunities to meet commercial needs. The role involves partnering with various stakeholders, including Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams, to ensure alignment with evolving requirements and maintaining a high level of regulatory compliance.

The Director will lead a team of business process owners and operational specialists, providing strategic direction and prioritization while delegating executional responsibilities. This leadership role is critical in building organizational capability in platform utilization, content operations best practices, and change management.

What You Will Do

  • Define and own the enterprise strategy and vision for the upstream content ecosystem, ensuring alignment with Viatris's digital, marketing, and business objectives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content ecosystem roadmap, balancing strategic transformation with operational priorities.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise governance frameworks across platforms, including role-based capabilities and permissions, workflow standardization, and metadata and taxonomy discipline.
  • Lead a structured continuous improvement program, driving platform enhancements, process optimization, and integration maturity.
  • Partner with IT to ensure scalable, secure, and stable platform architecture, effective translation of business requirements, and timely delivery of releases and enhancements.
  • Maintain accountability for end-to-end platform performance across the ecosystem from a business perspective, monitoring system adoption, utilization, workflow efficiency, and metadata quality.
  • Serve as the primary business stakeholder representing content operations requirements and priorities, driving accountability across internal and external partners for performance and outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment of platforms with enterprise metadata and taxonomy frameworks, overseeing the integrity and flow of content and metadata across systems.
  • Lead and develop a team of business process owners and/or operational specialists, providing strategic direction and prioritization.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Significant experience in content operations, digital strategy, and team leadership, preferably in a global healthcare or pharmaceutical context.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive content ecosystem strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms, content management systems, and metadata taxonomy.
  • Experience in managing complex content ecosystems, including workflow standardization and process optimization.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, IT, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement in content operations, including the adoption of new technologies and processes.
