About the Role
The Director, Growth & Operations role at NerdWallet is a senior leadership position responsible for establishing core operational processes for the company's fast-growing wealth management business. This individual will build and scale the systems, processes, and infrastructure that power both the client experience and revenue engine, from the moment a prospect enters the funnel to the day-to-day servicing of long-term wealth management clients. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and operator, able to design and implement cohort-based performance frameworks, streamline account onboarding workflows, and optimize advisor workflows.As a key member of the NerdWallet Wealth Partners leadership team, the Director of Growth and Operations will report directly to the CEO and have a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and bias toward action. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to join an early-stage, hyper-growth wealth management firm and build a world-class operation from the ground up.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the wealth management industry, with expertise in revenue operations, marketing, and sales performance. They will be well-versed in HubSpot, Salesforce, and Excel, and have a proven track record of driving business growth and client satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Own the end-to-end revenue operations function, including the design and maintenance of marketing and sales funnels, lead routing logic, CRM architecture, and pipeline reporting
- Build and maintain cohort reporting frameworks that track client acquisition, activation, retention, and lifetime value
- Lead the strategy and execution of marketing and sales automation platforms, ensuring campaigns are measurable, scalable, and aligned to conversion goals
- Design and continuously improve the end-to-end client onboarding experience for new wealth management clients
- Partner with the advisory team to document, standardize, and optimize advisor workflows, including account reviews, rebalancing processes, client communications cadences, and more
- Own the operational systems and vendor relationships that keep the business running, including custodian integrations, portfolio management tools, and compliance-adjacent workflows
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPIs that give leadership real-time visibility into business health across client growth, retention, advisor capacity, and operational throughput
- Build the playbooks, SOPs, and internal knowledge infrastructure needed to scale the business
- Manage the operations function and build out a lean, high-performing operations team as the business scales
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in operations, revenue operations, or a related field, with a focus on wealth management or financial services
- Proven expertise in HubSpot, Salesforce, and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong understanding of marketing and sales automation platforms, with experience in campaign execution and optimization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate raw data into clear strategic recommendations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Experience in building and managing high-performing teams, with a focus on mentorship and development
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the wealth management industry and its trends
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or operations
Nice to Have
- Experience in cohort-based performance frameworks and data-driven decision making
- Knowledge of compliance-adjacent workflows and regulatory requirements in the wealth management industry
- Familiarity with portfolio management tools, such as Orion or Tamarac
