Job Description

About the Role

The Director of Media Strategy plays a pivotal role at Choozle, responsible for overseeing client media strategy from pre-sales through campaign completion. This involves serving as both the strategic gatekeeper and primary technical advisor to Choozle's Revenue team, ensuring the integrity of every media plan across inventory selection, audience definition, and channel and tactic alignment. The role requires close collaboration with Strategic Account Directors, Account Executives, and Sales Leadership to evaluate, scope, and qualify opportunities, ensuring each plan aligns with Choozle's product capabilities, inventory access, audience strategy, and target margins before activation.

Beyond pre-sales, the Director maintains strategic ownership through execution by leading the Integrated Media Solutions team. This involves guiding and mentoring Integrated Media Specialists to translate approved strategies into high-performing campaigns, ensuring seamless implementation, ongoing optimization, and measurable client outcomes. The position demands a unique blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership acumen.

Given the remote-first nature of Choozle, the ideal candidate must be self-motivated, with excellent communication and project management skills to effectively work with distributed teams.

What You Will Do

  • Partner directly with Strategic Account Directors and Account Executives during early-stage planning initiatives to audit, scope, and qualify client briefs.
  • Establish and run a Partner Deal Desk, collaborating with Revenue Team Leadership to review margin health, custom data integrations, audience strategy, and inventory packaging for enterprise deals.
  • Govern inventory quality by auditing and policing inventory performance across active campaigns to eliminate metric-inflating traffic and ensure alignment with approved strategy and supply standards.
  • Curate premium supply partnerships, engineering custom, premium Private Marketplace libraries and securing direct CTV/OTT supply partnerships.
  • De-risk the sales pipeline by vetting complex custom requests, defining the company's 'right to win,' and preventing operational bottlenecks.
  • Drive data and revenue integrity by working directly with Revenue Leadership to resolve high-complexity data issues.
  • Translate complex data into actionable growth recommendations, informing pre-sales strategy and in-flight optimization.
  • Serve as the Offerings Subject Matter Expert for premium and high-intent services.
  • Build multimedia training resources to reduce internal ambiguity and drive consistent execution.
  • Bridge sales and product gaps by identifying strategic areas of growth and platform limitations.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in media strategy, programmatic advertising, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in Google Ads, The Trade Desk, and Amazon DSP.
  • Experience with GA4 and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of programmatic advertising principles, including inventory selection, audience definition, and channel/tactic alignment.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Connected TV (CTV), Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH), and other emerging channels.
  • Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations in the digital advertising space.
  • Certification in Google Ads or The Trade Desk.
