About the Role
The Director of Monetization Strategy is a critical role at Iterable, responsible for defining the company's economic engine. This position requires a deep understanding of SaaS monetization, market trends, and competitive analysis. The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing, driving sustainable growth and expanding Net Revenue Retention (NRR).Iterable is a leading AI-powered customer engagement platform that empowers organizations to activate customer data, design seamless cross-channel interactions, and optimize engagement. What You Will Do
- Lead the long-term monetization roadmap, evolving current models from usage-based pricing to value-based frameworks
- Act as the connective tissue between Product, Marketing, and Sales to design and execute pricing and packaging strategies
- Conduct deep-dive competitive analysis and buyer research to identify gaps in the current monetization strategy
- Design and optimize product bundles and editions that simplify the buying process for mid-market and enterprise customers
- Partner with RevOps to implement pricing changes within systems (CPQ, billing) and develop discounting frameworks and guardrails for the field
- Lead internal enablement for global sales teams, ensuring they can confidently articulate the why behind pricing
- Develop and maintain market intelligence to stay ahead of emerging trends and competitor activity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of monetization strategies
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in SaaS monetization, management consulting, or strategic finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas simply
- Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools
- Strong understanding of market trends and competitive analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with pricing and packaging strategies, including value-based frameworks
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, including sales funnel management and customer acquisition
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-driven customer engagement platforms
- Knowledge of cloud-based software and RevOps systems
- Certification in data analysis or a related field
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
