Job Description

About the Role

The Director of Conversion Rate Optimization is a key role at LawnStarter, responsible for leading the company's conversion performance engine. This involves owning the landing pages in Webflow, designing and running A/B tests in VWO, and leveraging AI, Tableau, and Hotjar to identify areas for improvement. The successful candidate will report directly to the CMO and will be the primary executor of the visit-to-customer rate, a metric that has a direct impact on revenue.

As the first dedicated owner of the conversion testing program, the Director of Conversion Rate Optimization will be responsible for building and scaling a rigorous experimentation function. This will involve developing a multi-quarter testing roadmap for the acquisition funnel, from ad click to first completed service. The role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing principles, as well as hands-on experience with conversion rate optimization tools.

The Director of Conversion Rate Optimization will be working closely with the Growth team, which owns the full customer acquisition funnel. The team acquires over 150,000 new customers per year across paid, organic, and partner channels, making this a high-impact role with significant opportunities for growth.

What You Will Do

  • Own the landing pages in Webflow, including paid landing pages, organic city/near-me pages, and the CMS structure that makes them scalable without engineering
  • Design and run A/B tests in VWO to optimize conversion rates and improve the visit-to-customer rate
  • Leverage AI, Tableau, and Hotjar to identify areas for improvement and inform testing roadmaps
  • Develop and execute a multi-quarter testing roadmap for the acquisition funnel
  • Build and maintain a learning repository to track test results and inform future experiments
  • Collaborate with the Growth team to align testing efforts with overall business objectives
  • Report directly to the CMO and provide regular updates on conversion performance and testing progress
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in conversion rate optimization and digital marketing

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in conversion rate optimization, digital marketing, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in designing and executing A/B tests and optimizing conversion rates
  • Hands-on experience with Webflow, VWO, and other conversion rate optimization tools
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including user experience, landing page design, and funnel optimization
  • Experience working with AI, Tableau, and Hotjar, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
