About the Role
The Director of Energy Storage Development is a pivotal position at Renewable Properties, tasked with overseeing all aspects of the company's energy storage business. This includes identifying and shaping the markets Renewable Properties will pursue, engaging with vendors to determine optimal energy storage products, and developing strategies to maximize the company's success in storage projects. The role requires a deep understanding of energy storage technologies, use cases, and value propositions, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.The Director will be part of a dynamic team focused on driving the company's continued growth and success in the renewable energy sector. What You Will Do
- Identify new storage markets for Renewable Properties to enter, assessing their potential for growth and alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Become an expert on energy storage technologies, staying updated on the latest developments and trends in the field.
- Assist in determining the optimal storage configuration and sizing for both standalone and PV plus storage projects.
- Develop market entry strategies for storage projects, considering factors such as regulatory environments, market demand, and competition.
- Engage with vendors to evaluate and select the most appropriate energy storage solutions for various projects.
- Assist the development team in siting and interconnecting storage projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal project performance.
- Identify and engage buyers of storage products, facilitating the creation of proposals for energy storage projects.
- Participate in negotiating contracts for storage projects, aiming to secure favorable terms that support the company's objectives.
- Manage and coordinate work efforts with other team members, ensuring an organized and efficient approach to project development.

What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 7 years' experience working on energy storage projects in various US markets, with a proven track record of success in this area.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.

- A sophisticated understanding of the environmental and utility regulatory environment, including relevant policies and laws.
