About the Role

The Director of Engineering at MonetizeMore is a critical leadership position, responsible for shaping the company's engineering culture, technical strategy, and organizational design. As the foundational leader of the global engineering organization, you will oversee the development and maintenance of MonetizeMore's platforms, ensuring they remain highly scalable, reliable, and secure. Your team will consist of talented Engineering Managers and Software Engineers, all working together to drive the company's mission forward.

The role entails day-to-day leadership and mentorship of your team, as well as collaboration with Product Management leadership to ensure engineering pods operate effectively. You will be responsible for building a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and psychological safety within your team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's technical vision and direction.

As a seasoned leader, you will report to the company's executive team and work closely with them to drive the company's overall strategy. Your expertise in managing remote teams and expertise in modern cloud architecture will be essential in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse, fully remote engineering team
  • Build a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and psychological safety within the team
  • Structure engineering pods for maximum autonomy and alignment
  • Partner closely with Product Management leadership to ensure engineering pods operate as empowered, cross-functional teams
  • Oversee the architectural integrity, security, and performance of MonetizeMore's high-volume, low-latency ad tech infrastructure
  • Balance the delivery of new features with the continuous modernization of the codebase
  • Maintain robust data privacy, compliance, and security standards across all engineering operations
  • Establish and monitor core engineering metrics to identify and eliminate development bottlenecks
  • Lead the strategic adoption of AI-augmented development tools to eliminate developer toil
  • Quantify the impact of modernization initiatives on cycle times, deployment frequency, and overall delivery velocity

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5+ years managing engineering managers in a fast-growing SaaS, Ad Tech, or high-data volume environment
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling highly aligned, culturally diverse, 100% remote engineering teams
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud architecture and distributed systems
  • Strong technical leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
  • Experience with AI-augmented development tools and technologies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Excel and data analysis
  • Knowledge of ad tech industry trends and technologies
  • Experience with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks
  • Certification in engineering or a related field
