Job Description

About the Role

The Director of Field Sales will play a critical role in driving the sales strategy for Alternative Payments, with a focus on in-person events and building relationships within the MSP industry. This is a fully remote position, with significant travel required, including quarterly on-site visits to the Toronto office. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the MSP ecosystem and a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships in the industry.

As a key member of the sales team, the Director of Field Sales will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, with a focus on in-person events and conferences. This will include identifying and attending key industry events, building relationships with key decision-makers, and developing a strong understanding of the competitive landscape.

The Director of Field Sales will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring junior sales team members, with a focus on developing their skills and expertise in in-person sales and relationship-building. This will include providing guidance and support, as well as feedback and evaluation, to help the team achieve their sales goals.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, with a focus on in-person events and conferences
  • Identify and attend key industry events, including conferences and trade shows
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers in the MSP industry
  • Develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends
  • Coach and mentor junior sales team members, with a focus on developing their skills and expertise in in-person sales and relationship-building
  • Provide guidance and support to the sales team, including feedback and evaluation
  • Collaborate with the Event Manager to plan and execute events, including logistics and planning
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the MSP ecosystem, including key players and industry trends
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts and relationships within the industry

What We Are Looking For

  • 5-10 years of experience in B2B SaaS or fintech sales, with a focus on in-person sales and relationship-building
  • Strong understanding of the MSP ecosystem and key industry trends
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships in the industry
  • Experience with sales strategy and planning, including event planning and execution
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with experience developing and supporting junior sales team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Ability to travel, including quarterly on-site visits to the Toronto office
