Job Description

About the Role

The Director of Marketing at Phagenesis is a pivotal role that will spearhead the development and execution of the company's US downstream commercial marketing strategy. This senior individual contributor will report to the VP of Global Marketing and will be responsible for building and leading the full downstream marketing function. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong sense of ownership and urgency, able to navigate the complexities of the healthcare industry while driving commercial growth.

The role involves close collaboration with the commercial team, serving as a core thought partner to develop and implement market-shaping strategies that drive patient access and equip the field with the necessary tools and programs. This is a highly impactful, builder's role that requires a leader who is equally comfortable developing strategic frameworks and rolling up their sleeves to execute.

What You Will Do

  • Own and continuously evolve the Phagenyx value proposition, ensuring it resonates across clinical, operational, and economic buyer audiences.
  • Develop and maintain a coherent messaging architecture for all key customer segments, including neurologists, speech-language pathologists, stroke coordinators, neurocritical care intensivists, hospital administrators, and payers.
  • Ensure consistency and clarity of internal and external communications across all commercial touchpoints.
  • Translate complex clinical data into compelling, accessible commercial narratives.
  • Lead brand positioning strategy and ensure all materials reflect the Phagenesis brand identity.
  • Design and execute multi-channel demand generation programs targeting acute care hospitals, comprehensive stroke centers, and neurology/critical care services.
  • Develop and manage digital and field-integrated campaigns leveraging clinical evidence, guideline adoption, and health economic data to drive awareness and inbound interest.
  • Build segmentation models and target account frameworks that enable the field to prioritize and penetrate high-value accounts efficiently.
  • Establish metrics and dashboards to track lead volume, source quality, and conversion rates; optimize programs based on performance data.

What We Are Looking For

  • Seasoned marketing professional with experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a related field such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare landscape, including regulatory environments and market access dynamics.
  • Expertise in marketing automation platforms, specifically HubSpot, and CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights that inform marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
