Job Description

About the Role

The Director of People Operations is a high-ownership, systems-building role, responsible for architecting the infrastructure that enables the People organization to scale globally. This is a rare opportunity to redesign and modernize the operational foundation of the People function at scale, with a focus on remote work and digital skills. The role is part of a global team, with both remote employees and physical office locations, and will be instrumental in driving the company's mission to scale intelligence.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are passionate about their craft. Each person is one of the best in the world at what they do, and you will be expected to contribute to increasing the capabilities of the models and the value they drive for customers.

What You Will Do

  • Own People systems and workflows, ensuring seamless operations across the organization
  • Develop and implement HRIS and operational tooling, automating processes where possible
  • Design and implement shared services and helpdesk infrastructure, providing excellent support to employees
  • Lead onboarding and employee lifecycle operations, ensuring a smooth experience for new hires
  • Develop operational analytics and reporting, providing insights to inform business decisions
  • Design and implement operational processes, focusing on scalability and efficiency
  • Build and lead a People Operations team, providing guidance and support
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as IT and Finance, to ensure alignment and effective operations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve People Operations

What We Are Looking For

  • Deep hypergrowth and scaling experience, with a proven track record of success
  • Experience scaling People Ops in globally distributed tech environments
  • Strong systems thinking and operational design skills
  • Ability to solve complex operational problems, with a focus on automation and AI
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivery and results
  • Experience with HRIS and operational tooling, such as Workday or BambooHR
