About the Role

The Director of Solar Outreach and Market Strategy will play a pivotal role in leading Energy Solutions' efforts to promote solar energy adoption. This role matters because it will help drive the company's mission to deliver large-scale energy, carbon, and water-use savings. As a key member of the team, the Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective solar outreach and market strategies. The Director will report to the Senior Leadership team and will be responsible for managing a team of professionals.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships. The Director will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and for sharing this knowledge with the team.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive solar outreach and market strategies to drive business growth
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products and services
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the sales team to help drive revenue growth
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and share this knowledge with the team
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote Energy Solutions and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services, and be able to communicate this knowledge to customers and stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in solar outreach, market strategy, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing effective solar outreach and market strategies
  • Strong understanding of the solar industry, including market trends, technologies, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Ability to work remotely and manage a team of professionals
  • Strong digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM software
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Experience with solar panel installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools, such as solar panel design software
  • Certification in a related field, such as NABCEP certification
  • Experience with grant writing and fundraising
