Job Description

About the Role

The Director of People Operations, Data, and Technology at Midi Health will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the company's people operating system. This includes developing and maintaining the calendar, cadences, data infrastructure, and process backbone that will enable the People function and the broader organization to scale with clarity and intention. The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of operational rigor, strategic thinking, and forward-looking organization design skills.

As a key member of the People team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the People function is running smoothly and efficiently. This includes building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, identifying areas for process improvement, and developing solutions to drive business outcomes. Your expertise in people operations, data analysis, and AI will be crucial in informing strategic decisions and shaping the company's people agenda.

The role is based in the United States, with a preference for candidates in the Bay Area. However, Midi Health is open to remote work arrangements, making this an excellent opportunity for professionals who value flexibility and work-life balance.

What You Will Do

  • Design and run the people operating system, including the people calendar, process documentation, and cadences
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure that creates accountability across the People team
  • Own people policies, handbooks, and operational documentation, keeping them current and accessible
  • Develop and implement workforce planning processes, including data infrastructure and forward-looking organization design
  • Build and maintain people analytics capabilities, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and strong governance
  • Partner with Finance on headcount planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Translate people data into actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Own HR systems and tools, including HRIS, benefits administration, and the broader HR tech stack
  • Drive process optimization across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal changes, and offboarding
  • Lead Midi's AI-forward people strategy, identifying, prioritizing, and implementing automation and AI across people workflows

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Operations, People Operations, or a related field
  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling operational infrastructure in high-growth environments
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to develop insights and foresights
  • Experience with AI and automation applied to HR or operational workflows
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HR systems and tools, including HRIS and benefits administration
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Certification in HR or a related field
