About the Role
The Director, People Operations will lead a global team delivering scalable, high-impact services across the employee journey. Reporting to the VP, People Operations, Rewards, and Technology, this role entails driving business outcomes through operational excellence and delivering a frictionless employee experience. As a member of the PORT Leadership Team, you will own key areas such as onboarding, contingent workforce, service delivery, global mobility, and immigration, as well as HR compliance.The successful candidate will be a strategic, hands-on leader with strong execution and cross-functional influence. They will guide People Operations workstreams for company-wide initiatives, such as M&A, and drive strategic priorities in partnership with various functions including Finance, Audit, Legal, Procurement, People Technology, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, HR Business Partners, and HR PMO.
As a leader in the People Operations team, you will be responsible for establishing operating models, SLAs, and metrics to improve quality and efficiency. Your team will be delivering a consistent, high-quality new hire experience, and you will influence decisions to ensure execution and act as a trusted advisor on People Operations.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team
- Establish operating models, SLAs, and metrics to improve quality and efficiency
- Own contingent workforce strategy and management, including vendors, compliance, and cost
- Oversee global onboarding operations to deliver a consistent, high-quality new hire experience
- Guide People Operations workstreams for company-wide initiatives, such as M&A
- Drive strategic priorities in partnership with Finance, Audit, Legal, Procurement, People Technology, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, HR Business Partners, and HR PMO
- Influence decisions and ensure execution; act as a trusted advisor on People Operations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a related field
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving business outcomes
- Excellent leadership, strategic, and analytical skills
- Strong experience with Excel and other HR systems and tools
- Ability to influence and partner with various functions across the organization
- Experience with contingent workforce management and global mobility
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience with HR technology and systems, such as Workday or BambooHR
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
