About the Role
The Director of Product Design at Ramp is a unique opportunity to lead a team of talented designers in shaping the future of financial infrastructure. As a key member of the product team, you will be responsible for defining the design vision and direction for critical AI-native product areas. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and data, to drive customer-centric solutions and deliver meaningful business impact.The role entails leading a high-performing team of product designers, owning product vision and design direction, and partnering with stakeholders to shape strategy and deliver customer impact. You will be responsible for staying close to customers, using their feedback to guide product decisions, and driving design innovation that delights and inspires.

What You Will Do
- Lead and grow a high-performing team of product designers
- Own product vision and design direction across critical AI-native product areas
- Partner with product and engineering to shape strategy and deliver customer impact
- Stay close to customers and use their feedback to guide product decisions
- Jump into the work when needed to unblock teams and accelerate progress
- Create clarity, raise quality, and help teams ship faster
- Raise the bar for product thinking, interaction design, systems thinking, and craft
- Coach designers through clear feedback, high standards, and strong mentorship
- Help define how design works in an AI-native world
- Build strong partnerships across product, engineering, data, and design
What We Are Looking For
- Experience leading and developing high-performing product design teams
- Strong product judgment, design craft, and systems thinking
- Track record of shipping products with meaningful customer and business impact
- Deep customer empathy and comfort operating in ambiguity
- Ability to influence across functions and develop exceptional partnerships
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with design tools and software, such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Knowledge of AI-native product design principles and best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-native product design and development
- Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts
- Knowledge of web development principles and technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as GitHub
