About the Role
As a Director of Product Management at Twilio, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision for the Twilio Flex product ecosystem. This includes defining and executing a comprehensive product roadmap, leading the evolution of Twilio Flex from a standalone application into a set of decomposable, AI-native components, and championing an outstanding customer experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Go-to-Market, to deliver robust, scalable, and forward-looking Flex capabilities.Twilio Flex is a critical component of the Twilio Platform, enabling businesses to build personalized customer experiences. As the Director of Product Management, you will play a key role in shaping the future of cloud communications and driving innovation in the industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, with experience in cloud communications, AI, and agile development. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of strong individual Product Managers, fostering a culture of technical rigor, continuous learning, and high performance.
What You Will Do
- Define, build, and execute a comprehensive product roadmap for the foundational services, APIs, and developer infrastructure powering the Twilio Flex product ecosystem.
- Lead the evolution of Twilio Flex from a standalone application into a set of decomposable, AI-native components, aligning with Twilio's strategic platform vision.
- Provide clear ownership, hands-on product management, managing roadmap execution, and operational oversight for the consolidated Flex Product Management team.
- Manage and mentor a team of strong individual Product Managers, fostering a culture of technical rigor, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Champion an outstanding customer experience by driving improvements in APIs, SDKs, documentation, and tooling for internal teams, partners, and external developers.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver robust, scalable, and forward-looking Flex capabilities.
- Serve as a key leader for the Twilio India site, partnering with senior leadership in Bangalore to guide and shape the working experience of hundreds of other Twilions.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market, industry trends, and customer needs, using this knowledge to inform product decisions and drive innovation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product requirements, ensuring that the product roadmap aligns with business objectives and customer needs.
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on cloud communications, AI, and agile development.
- Strong technical skills, with experience in API design, software development, and cloud computing.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to drive innovation and growth, with a strong understanding of market trends and customer needs.
- Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and metrics-driven decision making.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with cloud-based contact center solutions, such as Twilio Flex.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning, with experience in natural language processing or computer vision.
- Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins or Docker.
- Certification in product management, such as CSPO or AIPMM.
- Experience with remote work, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of distributed teams.
