Job Description

About the Role

The Director, Product Marketing - Analytics Partners will play a pivotal role in shaping how MinIO is positioned within the Databricks ecosystem and the broader hybrid analytics and AI landscape. This role combines deep fluency in the modern data lakehouse, Delta Sharing, and open table formats with hands-on product marketing ownership of MinIO's most strategic data platform partnership. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding how AIStor Table Sharing extends Databricks to on-premises data and translating that knowledge into differentiated messaging, joint content, and go-to-market strategies that resonate with data and AI leaders, platform engineers, and the Databricks field teams selling alongside us.

MinIO is the industry leader in high-performance object storage, powering production infrastructure for more than half of the Fortune 500. The company's enterprise offering, AIStor, is engineered to handle the scale, speed, and pressure of modern AI and analytics. As a key member of the product marketing team, the Director will collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Alliances, Corporate Development, and counterparts at Databricks to craft and deliver the narratives that position AIStor as the data platform that unlocks on-premises data for Databricks.

What You Will Do

  • Own the messaging and content that defines MinIO's role in the Databricks ecosystem across AIStor Table Sharing, Delta Sharing, Unity Catalog, Apache Iceberg, and Delta Lake.
  • Translate joint engineering work and architectural integration into co-marketing assets, reference architecture content, and customer-facing narratives that position Databricks as the hero with AIStor as the enabling data platform.
  • Navigate across Product and Marketing across both companies to ensure that MinIO features and capabilities are tied to the newest capabilities and offerings from Databricks.
  • Develop the technical and business positioning for AIStor Table Sharing as the bridge between on-premises data and Databricks cloud compute.
  • Make the case for zero-copy, in-place data sharing as a required capability for enterprises with data sovereignty, time sensitivity, or scale constraints that keep critical datasets on-premises.
  • Partner with Databricks marketing, product, and field teams to plan and execute joint launches, joint content, joint events, and co-branded technical assets.
  • Align launch cadence and messaging with Databricks roadmap milestones and major moments like Databricks Data + AI Summit.
  • Build durable co-marketing programs that drive pipeline for both companies.
  • Build solutions content for the verticals where regulated or high-gravity on-premises data meets active Databricks footprint, with a primary focus on financial services, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, and federal.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on analytics, data platforms, or related technologies.
  • Deep understanding of the modern data lakehouse, Delta Sharing, and open table formats.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies and joint content development.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging that resonate with technical and business audiences.
  • Experience with GTM, Excel, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of the Databricks ecosystem and the broader hybrid analytics and AI landscape.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with object storage solutions and data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, and other relevant technologies.
  • Familiarity with the financial services, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, and federal sectors.
  • Experience with co-marketing programs and joint launches.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology company and make a significant impact.
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment.
  • Professional development opportunities and access to training and education resources.
  • Flexible remote work arrangements and a stipend for home office setup.
  • Access to the latest tools and technologies.
  • Recognition and reward for outstanding performance.

How to Stand Out

  • Showcase your experience with GTM, Excel, and other relevant tools to demonstrate your ability to drive go-to-market strategies and joint content development.
  • Highlight your understanding of the modern data lakehouse, Delta Sharing, and open table formats to show your fluency in the relevant technologies.
  • Be prepared to provide specific examples of successful co-marketing programs and joint launches you've led in the past.
  • Emphasize your ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging that resonate with technical and business audiences.
  • Research MinIO and Databricks to demonstrate your knowledge of the companies and their ecosystems.
  • Prepare to discuss your experience working with cross-functional teams and your ability to collaborate with engineering, product management, sales, alliances, and corporate development teams.
  • Be ready to negotiate your salary and benefits package, and don't be afraid to ask about opportunities for professional development and growth.
