Job Description

About the Role

The Director of Product Marketing at Klaviyo is a key leadership role responsible for driving the core positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for the company's Klaviyo Marketing solution line. This role will lead a team of product marketers and work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to establish Klaviyo as a category leader in the marketing automation space.

As a Director of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy that drives awareness, adoption, and revenue growth for Klaviyo's marketing automation solutions. This will involve developing and refining the company's positioning and messaging, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and driving the development of sales and marketing assets.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the marketing automation space, including the competitive landscape, market trends, and customer needs. They will also have a proven track record of driving growth and innovation in a fast-paced environment, as well as experience leading and managing high-performing teams.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of product marketers responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for Klaviyo's marketing automation solutions
  • Develop and refine the company's positioning and messaging for Klaviyo Marketing, including the development of sales and marketing assets
  • Partner with product management to inform product roadmap decisions and ensure alignment with market needs and trends
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop and deliver sales enablement tools and training
  • Drive the development of thought leadership content, including whitepapers, webinars, and case studies
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity, and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition
  • Develop and manage budgets, including budget planning and forecasting
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of product marketers to support the growth and development of the company
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product, to drive alignment and ensure successful execution of go-to-market strategies

What We Are Looking For

  • 12+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing roles, with a focus on marketing automation and/or related technologies
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing and coaching individual contributors, with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of the marketing automation space, including the competitive landscape, market trends, and customer needs
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of product marketers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, including Klaviyo, and/or related technologies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI and machine learning technologies, and their application in marketing automation
  • Knowledge of the B2C marketing space, and the unique challenges and opportunities faced by B2C marketers
