About the Role

Gitlab is seeking a Director, Product Security Architecture to lead the Security Architecture function within the Security Platforms & Architecture sub-department. This role will serve as a strategic security partner to key product and engineering leadership groups across GitLab.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a team of Product Security Architects and risk and metrics engineers dedicated to major product areas of Security, AI, and Core DevOps.
  • Turn product security risks, requirements, and insights into clear architectural guidance and multi-quarter risk reduction programs.

Requirements

  • Experience with security risk management and compliance.
  • Ability to collaborate with product and engineering teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-driven productivity tools.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles.
