About the Role
The Director of Provider Operations will play a crucial role in leading the provider organization at 9amHealth, defining the full provider lifecycle, and building the systems and strategies necessary for providers to deliver exceptional care at scale. This role will be responsible for managing capacity, utilization, and cost, ensuring that the provider organization is running efficiently and effectively. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Provider Operations will work closely with the Product, Finance, and Recruiting teams to drive business growth and improvement.The provider organization is at the heart of 9amHealth's mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. As such, the Director of Provider Operations will be responsible for building and scaling the provider organization, developing and implementing strategies to improve provider engagement and retention, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This will require strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and analytically.
The Director of Provider Operations will report to the CEO and will be responsible for managing a team of provider operations professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare operations, with a proven track record of building and scaling provider organizations in high-growth environments.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to build and scale the provider organization
- Manage the full provider lifecycle, from onboarding to retention and offboarding
- Develop and implement systems and processes to manage capacity, utilization, and cost
- Collaborate with the Product team to develop and implement new products and services
- Work with the Finance team to manage budget and forecasting
- Develop and implement strategies to improve provider engagement and retention
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the provider organization
- Manage and develop a team of provider operations professionals
- Develop and implement training and development programs for providers
- Collaborate with the Recruiting team to recruit and retain top talent
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, provider operations, or workforce management
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing provider teams and/or large-scale clinical operations
- Proven track record of building and scaling provider or workforce operations in high-growth environments
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience managing capacity, utilization, and cost
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and Recruiting teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with providers and other stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or business
- Master's degree preferred

- Certification in a related field, such as healthcare administration or operations management
