About the Role
The Director, PST and Boundary Systems Transformation, will serve as the primary leader for RTX's S4 program coordination, owning roadmap alignment, cross-team orchestration, and ensuring that dependencies, milestones, and system readiness are fully integrated into the enterprise S4 program plan. This role is critical to enabling standardized processes, operational agility, and scalable digital capabilities across RTX. The successful candidate will drive the harmonization, rationalization, and modernization of over 100 boundary applications and related data products, ensuring system capabilities, integration approaches, and data flows evolve in step with process redesign efforts and S4 deployment plans.As a key member of the team, the Director will work closely with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making forums and resolve tradeoffs between local site needs and enterprise standardization. This role requires strong technical expertise, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The Director will lead a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful transformation of boundary systems. This includes driving process harmonization, system standardization, and tech debt reduction to simplify the application landscape and reduce cost.
What You Will Do
- Lead the rationalization and modernization of boundary systems and associated data products following a clear disposition strategy
- Align S4 transformation roadmaps with the S4 program strategy, technology architecture, and deployment sequencing
- Serve as the technical counterpart to process transformation leads, ensuring system capabilities and integration support intended process outcomes
- Drive process harmonization, system standardization, and tech debt reduction to simplify the application landscape and reduce cost
- Own end-to-end boundary systems transformation and simplification, including scoping, implementation, cross-team coordination, risk mitigation, and program management
- Partner with DT, PST, and RTX teams to ensure roadmap changes, risks, and impacts are communicated and incorporated into the broader PST plan and schedule
- Lead the S4 workstream aligned to PST and RTX's process change management team, ensuring coordinated roadmaps, deliverables, and dependencies
- Consolidate RTX's S4 plans into a single integrated schedule and ensure cross-functional adherence and visibility
- Facilitate decision-making forums to resolve tradeoffs between local site needs and enterprise standardization
- Influence senior RTX stakeholders to ensure successful transformation of boundary systems
What We Are Looking For
- U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- Strong technical expertise in boundary systems transformation and process harmonization
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and communicating complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to drive process harmonization, system standardization, and tech debt reduction to simplify the application landscape and reduce cost
- Strong program management skills, including scoping, implementation, risk mitigation, and program management
- Experience in partnering with teams to ensure successful transformation of boundary systems
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and resolve tradeoffs between local site needs and enterprise standardization
