## About the Role The Director, Risk and Assurance, serves as the central leader for enterprise risk management, compliance assurance, and audit coordination at Public Partnerships LLC. This critical role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management framework, maintaining enterprise risk inventories, and ensuring effective management of compliance, operational, contractual, financial, and reputational risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management principles and frameworks, as well as experience leading audit coordination, remediation governance, and risk management activities.
The Director, Risk and Assurance, will report to the Vice President, Compliance, and will provide strategic oversight of the organization's risk identification, assessment, remediation, and monitoring activities. This role requires strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to influence and advise executive leadership on emerging risks, risk trends, and remediation effectiveness.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Director, Risk and Assurance, will foster a proactive, solutions-oriented risk culture and establish performance expectations, accountability, and professional development plans for the Risk and Assurance team.
## What You Will Do - Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management framework - Maintain enterprise risk inventories, risk registers, risk scoring methodologies, and governance processes - Oversee intake, triage, prioritization, and escalation of enterprise risk events - Facilitate structured risk assessments and risk interviews across business functions - Evaluate potential regulatory, operational, financial, contractual, and reputational impacts of identified risks - Assess adequacy of controls, mitigation strategies, and residual risk exposure - Present significant and emerging risks to executive leadership and governance committees - Oversee organizational coordination of external audits, assessments, SOC audits, client audits, and regulatory reviews - Ensure effective management of audit requests, evidence collection, deliverables, and stakeholder communications - Establish quality review processes for audit responses and submissions - Monitor audit findings and oversee remediation activities
## What We Are Looking For - Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management principles and frameworks - Experience leading audit coordination, remediation governance, and risk management activities - Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities - Ability to influence and advise executive leadership on emerging risks, risk trends, and remediation effectiveness - Experience with healthcare regulatory requirements, Medicaid programs, and compliance operations - Strong knowledge of Excel and risk analytics - Proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with executive leadership, governance committees, and external stakeholders - Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or accounting
