About the Role
The Director of Sales Development at Vercel will play a crucial role in building, scaling, and leading the company's EMEA Sales Development Representative (SDR) organization. This position is ideal for a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record of creating and executing outbound sales strategies, developing talent, and driving meaningful pipeline growth across multiple regions. As a key member of the sales leadership team, the Director will be responsible for setting the overall sales development strategy, building operational excellence, and developing leaders who empower SDRs to engage with CTOs, CIOs, technical stakeholders, developers, and engineering leaders at innovative enterprise companies.The role entails day-to-day management of the EMEA SDR team, including recruiting, training, and developing SDRs to consistently exceed pipeline targets. The Director will design and implement outbound sales strategies, processes, and enablement programs to drive top-of-funnel excellence and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance. Collaboration with sales, marketing, and operations leadership will be essential to ensure alignment and pipeline coverage.
What You Will Do
- Build, scale, and manage the EMEA SDR team to achieve sales development goals
- Recruit, train, and develop SDRs to consistently exceed pipeline targets
- Design and implement outbound sales strategies, processes, and enablement programs
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure team performance and pipeline contribution
- Partner closely with sales, marketing, and operations leadership to ensure alignment and pipeline coverage
- Foster a culture of coaching, feedback, and professional growth across the team
- Develop and execute plans to promote SDRs into quota-carrying roles
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align sales development strategies with overall sales goals
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sales development
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of leadership experience in SaaS sales, with a proven track record of building and scaling SDR teams in EMEA
- Demonstrated success in leading managers and SDRs across multiple geographies
- Strong background in creating outbound sales programs, driving pipeline growth, and partnering with enterprise sales leadership
- Deep understanding of SDR metrics, reporting, and performance management
- Excellent coaching, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with sales technology such as Salesforce and Adjust
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Experience leading SDR organizations in high-growth environments
- Knowledge of sales and marketing automation tools
