## About the Role The Director, US Online Violence Prevention & Safety Practice is a senior leadership role that oversees the performance, expansion, and external standing of Moonshot's US portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring that Moonshot's programs deliver measurable impact, meet contractual and financial commitments, and operate with rigor and discipline. The director will lead all US project delivery for the online violence prevention and safety practices, setting the strategic and operational direction for these practices. Day-to-day, the director will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and other senior leaders to drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of the homeland security and violence prevention ecosystem, as well as experience in managing complex projects and driving business development. The director will be part of a talented team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the world. Moonshot is committed to delivering excellence in everything it does, and the director will play a key role in ensuring that the US practice meets the highest standards of performance and integrity. ## What You Will Do - Lead and oversee all US projects within the online Violence Prevention & Safety practices - Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget - Maintain accountability for measurable impact, contractual performance, and client satisfaction - Serve as the senior escalation point for client concerns, mitigating risk before issues reach executive leadership - Establish and enforce consistent performance expectations across projects and teams - Monitor renewal readiness and ensure each engagement strengthens Moonshot's long-term position - Codify and formalize delivery standards across the US portfolio - Implement consistent project management methodologies, reporting structures, and quality control mechanisms - Strengthen contract compliance monitoring and financial discipline across engagements - Train senior managers and project leaders on shared delivery standards and expectations - Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and operational efficiency - Build durable infrastructure that reduces variability in execution and enables scalable growth - Oversee budget management and margin performance across the US portfolio - Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and reporting obligations - Align staffing models and resource allocation with revenue forecasts and delivery demands - Partner with internal finance and operations teams to maintain disciplined financial oversight - Drive revenue expansion for the US practice - Originate and shape new opportunities within state, local, and federal markets - Cultivate and maintain senior-level relationships across the homeland security and violence prevention ecosystem ## What We Are Looking For - Substantial, hands-on experience within homeland security, counterterrorism, public safety, or violence prevention environments - Significant experience within a consulting or professional services firm serving government clients - Demonstrated understanding of how high-performing firms standardize delivery, manage contracts, and maintain client relationships at scale - Experience with Excel and other project management tools - Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders - Strong business development and growth skills, with the ability to drive revenue expansion - Experience with budget management and financial oversight - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects ## Nice to Have - Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum - Knowledge of contract compliance and financial discipline - Experience with training and developing senior managers and project leaders - Familiarity with the US homeland security and violence prevention ecosystem - Experience with driving growth and expansion in a professional services firm ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference - Flexible working hours and remote work options - Professional development and training opportunities - Access to the latest tools and technologies - Recognition and reward for outstanding performance - Comprehensive health insurance and retirement plan - Generous paid time off and holiday policy
