Job Description

About the Role

The Dispatcher 1 plays a vital role in coordinating and managing the efficient deployment of field service personnel and resources at Race Communications. This position involves scheduling, routing, and dispatching teams to meet customer needs and service requirements promptly. As a key member of the team, the Dispatcher 1 will work closely with field staff, external service representatives, and internal team members to ensure seamless operations.

The role requires a strong understanding of dispatching best practices, hands-on experience with dispatch software and tools, and familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities and backgrounds, both internally and externally.

What You Will Do

  • Process received service requests from customers and assign appropriate technicians based on skills, availability, and location
  • Review and process preorders, scheduling customers for installation
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, including details and technician information
  • Monitor real-time operations, adjusting schedules as needed to ensure efficient deployment of field service personnel
  • Communicate effectively with field staff to resolve any issues or delays
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
  • Optimize routes to enhance productivity and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with external service representatives to resolve customer issues
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and concerns
  • Utilize dispatch software and tools to manage and optimize field service operations

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 0-1 years' experience in dispatch operations, preferably in the telecom industry
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute, certification required
  • Familiarity with dispatching best practices and hands-on experience with dispatch software and tools
  • Understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices related to field service operations and logistics management
  • Geographical knowledge of the service area and ability to read maps
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as scheduled

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in Spanish language
  • Experience with Adjust or equivalent
  • Certification in dispatch operations or a related field
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
