As a District Sales Manager at Illumina, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales team across your district in Germany. What You Will Do
- Develop, implement, and monitor the district business plan to achieve assigned budgets and objectives
- Establish territory quotas and deliver quarterly and annual sales and profit targets
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing district sales team
- Motivate and guide the team to meet agreed targets, providing timely development plans for underperformance
- Monitor and evaluate team performance using Illumina's performance management tools
- Ensure Illumina's commitment to customer satisfaction is delivered and continuously improved
- Maintain strong liaison with Marketing, Customer Solutions, and local teams to align activities and goals
- Forecast, monitor, and control selling expenses within assigned budgets
- Accurately forecast customer demand and ensure Salesforce.com (SFDC) compliance across the team
- Coordinate technical, sales, and administrative training for the district sales team
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in sales and team management, preferably in the Life Sciences industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at senior levels
- Fluency in German and English
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree highly desirable
- Substantial years of direct experience, including management responsibilities
- Motivated by delivering results while developing your team
- Strong understanding of compliance with German employment regulations
- Experience with Salesforce and Excel
