## About the Role The Diver I role at Amentum is a unique opportunity for experienced diving professionals to join a dynamic team in New Providence. As a Diver, you will be responsible for supporting the AUTEC program, performing a variety of tasks including recovering, inspecting, repairing, installing, and removing devices from USN marine vessels and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of diving operations, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience working in military diving or OSHA commercial Air Diving, with a strong knowledge of underwater operations and equipment maintenance. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of professionals to achieve project goals. As a Diver, you will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the success of the AUTEC program. ## What You Will Do - Perform strictly limited 'No Decompression' dives at a depth no greater than 100 feet of seawater - Utilize open circuit SCUBA and associated diving equipment to recover, inspect, repair, install, and remove devices from USN marine vessels and structures - Operate and maintain diving air systems per OSHA Diving Air Standards - Operate and maintain diving equipment (tanks, communications, regulators, mask, fins, etc.) as required to support diving operations - Operate forklift and overhead cranes per OSHA/NAVFAC standards - Operate and maintain underwater camera and video equipment - Operate and maintain the dive boat and associated support equipment - Perform ordnance/target handling, transporting, and recovery operations - Perform other duties as assigned - Build dive plans, calculate dive tables/repetitive dives, record dive profiles, and recognize unsafe working conditions ## What We Are Looking For - 4 years related experience working in military diving or OSHA commercial Air Diving - High school diploma or GED required - Association of Commercial Diving Educators Certification or equivalent Military Certification - USN certified small boat handler or civilian equivalent - Familiarity with SIMRAD GPS and transducer systems - Ability to troubleshoot and repair small boat issues while underway - Must be able to obtain Certified NAVFAC forklift and overhead crane operator within six months of hire date - Working knowledge of USN documentation for technical systems and reporting - Ability to be qualified as an Ordnance Team Member within six months of hiring date ## Nice to Have - ADCI Supervisor certification - OTS technician certification - VIP inspector certification - Certified Red Cross First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Certified NAVFAC forklift and overhead crane operator - Qualified underwater photography experience ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off and holidays - Retirement benefits (including 401(k) matching) - Educational reimbursement - Parental leave - Employee stock purchase plan - Tax-saving options - Disability and life insurance - Pet insurance
