Division Controller

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably with a CPA and/or Big 4 experience. You will be working closely with the Group Controller and other cross-functional teams, including operations, product, and engineering, to design accounting policies for new features and implement ERP enhancements.

What You Will Do

• Oversee the day-to-day functions of accounting, including month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Develop and implement best-in-class accounting software solutions
• Manage the annual budget and budgeting forecasting process
• Drive the financial architecture for the company's emerging two-sided platform
• Ensure GAAP compliance, robust internal controls, and scalable systems to support rapid growth
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design accounting policies for new features and implement ERP enhancements
• Manage audit relationships and tax strategies
• Research and implement new accounting technologies and processes
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions
• Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement financial models and forecasts

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
• Technical experience in digital marketplace platforms, preferably with experience in gross vs. net revenue presentation under ASC 606
• Microsoft Office apps expertise, particularly Excel
• Ability to manage teams and be a team player
• Sense of urgency and bias for action
• Excellent financial analysis capabilities to formulate data-driven recommendations for profitability and growth
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

• CPA and/or Big 4 background
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
