About the Role
The Division Lead Social Worker is a key leadership position at DaVita Kidney Care, responsible for overseeing social work initiatives and teams across the organization. This role entails providing guidance, support, and leadership to social workers, as well as collaborating with other departments to achieve organizational goals. As a Division Lead Social Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring that social work services are delivered effectively and efficiently, and that teams are equipped to handle the challenges of providing care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage social work teams, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure effective delivery of social work services
- Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and operations, to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Develop and implement social work initiatives and programs to support patient care and organizational objectives
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to social workers to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational decision-making
- Analyze data and metrics to inform social work practice and improve patient outcomes
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and staffing plans to ensure effective and efficient delivery of social work services
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the social work team
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to support social work initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in social work practice
What We Are Looking For
- Master's degree in social work or related field
- Current social work licensure or certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in social work, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform social work practice
- Experience with budgeting, resource management, and staffing planning
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, laws, and standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
