Job Description
About the Role
The Draftsman role at Platinum Outsourcing is a critical position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and managing drafting standard procedures, ensuring that all drawings are prepared, checked, and filed according to company procedures. Your day-to-day tasks will involve generating various types of drawings, including Bill of Materials, General Arrangement Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, and Specifications.The company is a fast-growing scale-up with a global team of over 250 employees, and this role is part of the water and wastewater solutions division. You will be working remotely and collaborating with a team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality results.
As a Draftsman, you will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, using your strong mechanical and structural knowledge to ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet the company's standards.
What You Will Do
- Manage and develop drafting standard procedures to ensure consistency and quality
- Generate Bill of Materials, General Arrangement Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, and Specifications
- Prepare drawings in accordance with company procedures and drafting standards
- Ensure that all drawings are prepared, checked, and filed according to company procedures
- Manage drafting priorities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
- Attend company meetings, trainings, and orientations to stay up-to-date with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the team to ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet the company's standards
- Use AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to generate drawings and manage drafting priorities
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum qualifications in Engineering or a related field
- Certificate in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- At least 3 years of experience using AutoCAD
- At least 1 year of experience using Autodesk Inventor/Autodesk Plant 3D
- Strong mechanical and structural knowledge
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a water and wastewater solutions division
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with drafting standard procedures and managing drafting priorities
- Certification in a related field, such as engineering or drafting
