About the Role

The hotel's laundry and dry cleaning services are an essential part of the overall guest experience, and as a Dry Cleaner, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all guests receive the highest level of service. Whether it's cleaning and pressing garments, managing the dry cleaning process, or maintaining the laundry facilities, every aspect of this role is crucial to the hotel's success.

What You Will Do

• Consistently offer professional, engaging, and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
• Ensure laundry service required by guests is completed on time
• Check and test garments for color fastening
• Refill chemicals, clean filters, and service the machines as needed
• Operate dry cleaning machines and ensure a high standard of dry cleaning
• Load and unload dry cleaning machines with the correct load amount
• Press all garments on steam press using shirt units as required
• Wash, dry clean, and press colleagues' uniforms
• Change padding on steam pressing machines as needed and assist other laundry colleagues with the dry cleaning process
• Ensure the entire work area remains clean and neatly organized
• Follow and ensure compliance with all corporate and hotel policies and procedures

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
• At least 2 years of previous experience with a dry-cleaning unit in a luxury hotel environment
• Fabric and garment care knowledge
• Stain identification and treatment
• Ironing and finishing techniques
• Dry Cleaning & Technician certification
• Occupational safety training (chemical handling)
• Environmental compliance training (important for dry cleaners using solvents)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Excel
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Certification in laundry and dry cleaning operations
