About the Role

The DTC Video Editor position at My Amazon Guy is a critical component of the company's marketing team, responsible for producing high-impact, conversion-focused video ads for various platforms including Amazon DSP, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and email campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, design, and performance marketing, with the ability to transform raw footage, user-generated content, brand assets, and scripts into engaging ads that stop the scroll, drive engagement, and convert.

Day-to-day, the DTC Video Editor will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all video assets are optimized for performance, strictly adhering to brand guidelines while maintaining creative consistency across all platforms. This role involves rapid production, rigorous A/B testing, and data-driven optimization of video ads, requiring a strong understanding of marketing metrics and the ability to translate them into creative decisions.

The company operates in a fast-paced, high-output environment, where the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain organized file structures is crucial. Collaboration with strategists to interpret performance data and inform creative direction is also a key aspect of this role.

What You Will Do

  • Create high-impact, conversion-focused video ads for Amazon DSP, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, email campaigns, and website placements.
  • Transform raw footage, user-generated content, brand assets, and scripts into engaging, performance-driven ads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and adherence to marketing strategies.
  • Conduct rigorous A/B testing and data-driven optimization of video ads to enhance performance.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining organized file structures.
  • Work closely with strategists to interpret performance data and inform creative direction.
  • Develop and implement motion graphics, sound design, and video reformatting to enhance ad engagement.
  • Ensure all video assets are optimized for various platforms, including mobile and desktop.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to conceptualize new ad ideas and campaigns.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in a performance marketing or DTC advertising context.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing ability to create high-impact, conversion-focused video ads.
  • Proficiency in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, etc.
  • Experience in creating DTC, UGC, or e-commerce-focused video ads.
  • Ability to understand and interpret marketing metrics, translating them into creative decisions.
  • Skilled in typography, motion graphics, color grading, pacing, and sound design.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Airtable, Asana, or Notion.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and team collaboration skills.
  • Thrives in high-pressure, high-output creative environments.
  • Dual-monitor setup (at least 8GB of RAM) and at least 25 MBPS internet speed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Amazon DSP and other e-commerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for interactive ad creation.
  • Certification in video editing or motion graphics design.
  • Experience in managing a team of creatives or leading projects.
