About the Role
The E-commerce Operator: Finance & Growth role is the backbone of brand performance, ensuring that financial visibility is maintained across multiple e-commerce brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately tracking and reconciling ad spends, revenue, and profitability. This role is critical in providing clear insights that directly impact how money is allocated and scaled across brands.In today's fast-paced digital landscape, e-commerce companies require professionals who can navigate complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. As part of the Valerie Group team, the E-commerce Operator will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial data is accurate, reliable, and actionable. What You Will Do
- Reconcile ad spend data across platforms, including Meta, Google, and other performance channels
- Validate spends against reported numbers and actuals
- Identify mismatches, over-reporting, under-reporting, and data inconsistencies
- Ensure clean, reliable, and audit-ready numbers every month
- Build and maintain accurate P&Ls for each brand, tracking revenue versus spends and contribution margins
- Create forecasting models based on actual performance data, projecting spend versus revenue scenarios, scaling impact, and efficiency trends
- Continuously update forecasts based on real-time inputs
- Analyze large datasets across brands to identify efficiency trends, scaling opportunities, and spend inefficiencies
- Support teams with clear, data-backed insights to inform decision-making
- Build standardized reconciliation frameworks, reporting templates, and tracking systems to reduce manual errors and dependency on scattered data
What We Are Looking For
- 6-8 years of experience in finance, FP&A, business finance, or analytics
- Strong exposure to P&L management and data-heavy environments
- Experience in D2C, e-commerce, or performance marketing setups is preferred
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills are a must-have
- High attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple brands and large datasets simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of SQL and database management
- Certification in finance or a related field
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product
