Job Description

About the Role

The Eastern Channels and Regional Compliance Specialist role at GE Vernova is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of the business organization, internal policies, and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations. As a key member of the compliance team, this individual will work closely with regional and business compliance leaders, channel partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of policy requirements and mitigate risks. The role entails day-to-day management of compliance programs, risk management strategies, and partnership with the commercial function to review and address red flags.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the execution of Electrification Systems' Channel Partner compliance program, engaging with regional and global channel partner leaders and teams, and ongoing monitoring of channel partners' activities and risks in the region. This role will also involve providing guidance, advice, and training to improve business understanding of related laws, policies, and procedures.

Reporting to the Regional Compliance Leader, this position will work closely with the compliance team to support broader compliance objectives, including training, ad-hoc projects, risk monitoring, and internal audits.

What You Will Do

  • Support the execution of Electrification Systems' Channel Partner compliance program through risk management strategies
  • Partner with the commercial function to review and address red flags, assign remediation actions, and ensure effective implementation of policy requirements
  • Engage with regional and global channel partner leaders and teams to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ongoing monitoring of channel partners' activities and risks in the region
  • Provide guidance, advice, and training to improve business understanding of related laws, policies, and procedures
  • Roll-up results into metrics that analyze trends, risks, and gaps
  • Establish KPIs for compliance processes and monitor progress
  • Support broader compliance team objectives, including training, ad-hoc projects, risk monitoring, and internal audits
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of compliance programs
  • Analyze and resolve problems in a complex regulatory environment

What We Are Looking For

  • University degree with 5+ years of work experience in Compliance or Legal
  • Fluent in English verbal and written, and at least one additional Asian language
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to partner cross-functionally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Critical thinker, self-driven, and ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Team player with excellent coordination skills, and also ability to work independently on assigned projects and tasks
  • Ability to effectively work with and influence all levels of the organization
  • Experience with Excel and other compliance management tools
