What You Will Do
- Drive content acquisition and submissions growth across the health sciences portfolio, with a focus on dermatology journals.
- Strategically develop one or more journals from scientific and publishing perspectives.
- Establish and maintain a strong network of scientists, authors, peer reviewers, and board members.
- Represent Wiley and the health sciences portfolio at conferences and through outreach activities.
- Contribute to editorial evaluation, peer review, and decision-making for manuscripts submitted to several journals.
- Collaborate with the manager and colleagues to establish a team culture of trust, respect, and high performance.
- Leverage desk research skills to stay updated on the latest developments in dermatology and scientific publishing.
- Ensure the adoption of best practices and the highest ethical standards in publishing.
- Work closely with the editorial team to achieve portfolio goals and objectives.
What We Are Looking For
- A PhD degree in Dermatology or a related area, with an excellent research background.
- Strong understanding of recent trends and developments in dermatology and scientific publishing.
- Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative setting.
- Experience in the publishing industry, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
