About the Role
The Editor/Content Strategist II role at Nerdwallet is a unique opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping people make informed financial decisions. As a key member of the banking content team, you will be responsible for creating and editing high-quality content that resonates with readers and drives business results. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement content strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.The role entails day-to-day responsibilities such as editing and reviewing content, providing feedback and coaching to writers, and collaborating with team members to develop and implement content strategies. You will also be responsible for analyzing content performance data and communicating insights to stakeholders, demonstrating strong performance management skills and using data to inform editorial decisions.

What You Will Do
- Edit and review content to ensure it is helpful, engaging, clear, and actionable
- Provide feedback and coaching to writers to improve quality and meet editorial standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement content strategies
- Analyze content performance data and communicate insights to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's content strategy and goals
- Identify and prioritize content gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Assist with content production and operational support, including publishing articles and managing deadlines
- Contribute to audits, reviews, or rubric development as needed
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align editorial priorities with business-driven needs
- Investigate innovative content formats and explore AI-driven solutions
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience editing for consumer-facing online publications
- Strong line-editing skills with a focus on consumer/reader experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback to writers and peers
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and interest in learning
- Ability to work autonomously and manage self-directed assignments with minimal oversight
- Strong project management skills and ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze content performance data
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and align editorial priorities with business-driven needs
