About the Role
The role of Editor/Publisher II at RELX involves creating high-quality, engaging legal content for publication across the UK Law Reports portfolio. This position is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of legal publications, which are used by legal professionals globally. As part of the LexisNexis Legal & Professional team, the successful candidate will be working in a dynamic environment that values innovation and excellence.Day-to-day, the editor will be responsible for writing headnotes for UK Law Report titles, proofreading judgments, and collaborating with the UK Editorial team to meet publishing schedules. The role requires a strong understanding of legal principles and the ability to present complex legal information in a clear and concise manner.

What You Will Do
- Write accurate and high-quality headnotes for publication across the UK Law Reports portfolio
- Proofread judgments to ensure accuracy and compliance with house style
- Flag concerns around anonymization, reporting restrictions, and other matters that may impact the reportability of a judgment
- Collaborate with the UK Editorial team to meet scheduling needs and editorial standards
- Edit and style material in the relevant format, using templates where necessary
- Attend training sessions as required and take on board feedback for improvement
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the team
- Flag risks to publishing schedules and respond effectively and timely to queries from the UK Editorial team
- Assist in project work as appropriate to support new business initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- Solid experience in editorial, legal publishing, or case summarization
- Interest in the law and ability to understand complex legal materials
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and professionalism
- Ability to manage own workload to meet targets
- Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to adapt to working practices in response to changing business demands
- Willingness to learn new systems and technologies
- Ability to work independently and determine appropriate methodology to work toward a defined goal
