About the Role

The eLearning Content Development Specialist II role at Affirm is a critical position that will help shape the company's Collections organization. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining structured learning programs that drive performance and compliance. With a focus on creating engaging and interactive eLearning experiences, you will work closely with stakeholders to develop course specifications and manage the Learning Management System (LMS).

The Collections organization at Affirm is rapidly growing, and the company needs an expert in eLearning content development to help drive this growth. With a strong background in instructional design and online course development, you will be able to create high-quality learning programs that meet the needs of the organization. Your expertise will be essential in helping the company navigate the complex regulatory requirements and system workflows that are inherent in the Collections space.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop course content, provide eLearning guidance, and consult with stakeholders to develop course specifications
  • Partner with the Collections Training Manager to manage design and build documents and templates for highly engaging and interactive eLearning
  • Manage the LMS, establish design standards, and maintain completion records and reporting
  • Create and manage reporting mechanisms to track compliance, learning objectives, and key metrics
  • Educate and mentor peers on the use of the LMS and course authoring tools
  • Demonstrate expertise across all fields to deliver high-value, on-demand training
  • Use innovative techniques and creative delivery mechanisms to reach a dispersed, global field organization and adopt new technologies as they arrive
  • Develop and prepare presentation materials, write, direct, edit videos, and voice-overs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop targeted solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in eLearning, and continuously look for ways to improve the learning programs and processes

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Learning Design, Learning Development, or Adult Learning
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in instructional design and online course development or an equivalent role
  • Prior experience working in a complex operational or collection vendor network preferred, and financial experience a plus
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of eLearning authoring tools, including Captivate, Canva, Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond, and Lessonly
  • Experience creating AI training simulations and Sandbox systems for hands-on learning support
  • Possess a strong portfolio of e-learning and/or video work with instructional design examples that showcase strength in visual and graphic design
  • Experience with LMS Administration
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including training content development and presentations

  • Experience working in a fintech or financial services organization
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the Collections space
  • Experience with video production and editing
  • Certification in instructional design or a related field
