Job Description

About the Role

The EMEA Insights Specialist role is a unique opportunity to join Reddit's growing Global Insights team, focusing on both commercial and consumer insights to drive business growth across the EMEA region. As the first dedicated Insights hire in Germany, this person will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to internal stakeholders and external brands, leveraging their expertise to shape how Reddit is understood in-market by both advertisers and consumers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights, designing hypothesis-driven research frameworks, and conducting mixed-methods research to uncover cultural and consumer trends. This role combines consumer intelligence, cultural strategy, brand positioning, commercial storytelling, and market expertise to help drive advertiser investment and audience growth across EMEA.

Reporting to the Global Insights Principal, the EMEA Insights Specialist will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Communications, and Growth teams to articulate Reddit's value to advertisers and consumers alike. The ideal candidate will be based in Berlin or Hamburg, with Amsterdam and London also considered.

What You Will Do

  • Transform complex first-party and third-party data into persuasive, actionable narratives and strategic recommendations for advertisers and internal stakeholders
  • Design hypothesis-driven research frameworks that identify the right business questions before selecting methodologies
  • Conduct and synthesize mixed-methods research, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, to uncover cultural and consumer trends
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the EMEA market, including cultural and consumer trends, and competitor activity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and revenue
  • Provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external brands to inform business decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and growth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including advertisers, agencies, and internal teams
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders, both written and verbally

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a insights or research role, preferably in the digital marketing or technology industry
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and advertising, including platforms and trends
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation, including tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present to senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Experience with mixed-methods research, including qualitative and quantitative approaches
  • Strong understanding of cultural and consumer trends, including the ability to identify and analyze trends and patterns
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
